Simplicity circa 1948
-
The dart fitted bodice, gathered at the waistline, is secured with a front button closing. Skirt fullness is achieved by gathers at the upper edge and a purchased or self belt may be used. Style 1 features a Peter Pan collar and cuffed, bishop sleeves fastened with link buttons. In Style 2, the sleeve backs extend into tabs which button over the bodice front. A high, round neckline open in the front finishes the dress.
