Advance pattern - circa 1954

American Designer New York Times pattern - Sylvia Franklin. Sleeveless high midriff surplice bodice has soft folds and a deep broad V neckline front and back - Bodice tops a Princess Silhouette fitted smoothly to waistline then curves and flares to hemline - Pocket in right side seam. Abbreviated short sleeve jacket, surplice cut with soft folds of bodice repeated, is finished with a bias fold which ties to the side. View 1: Dress and jacket all one fabric. View 2: Contrast the bodice and match the jacket to built up skirt of dress. Suggested (View 1) for Bridesmaid Dress.
