1940's Simplicity Bias Skirt Nightgown Pattern with Puff Sleeves and optional Ruffle - Bust 32" - No. 2681

Simplicity pattern circa 1940's

Nightgown: Soft gathers release fullness at the upper and lower edge of the square-necked bodice. Tie ends, joined in the side seams of the bias cut skirt, fasten into a soft back bow. In Style 1, self ruffling, trimmed with lace edging, accents the neckline and lower edge of the skirt. The neck bands are self fabric and the nightgown is sleeveless. Style 2 has neck bands cut of embroidered insertions. The short gathered sleeve, trimmed with an embroidered insertion, has elastic slipped through casing achieving a ruffled effect.

Pattern: UC/FF. Printed tissue.  Comes with paper instructions.
Envelope: Very poor vintage condition with tears, darkness and weak sides and fragile overall.
